José Luis Balbín


José Luis Balbín Meana was a journalist Spanish who worked in various media.

His moment of greatest popularity coincided with the broadcast Key in its first stage, between 1976 and 1985, Spanish Television .

He became Director of News between 1982 and 1983, following the appointment of Jose Maria Calviño as Director of RTVE. However, he was sacked a few months later. After a series of pressure from the socialist government, presiding Felipe González, the program was closed and gradually led to Balbín clearly opposed positions with the government of that time. He died on June 22, 2022.
