Erkki Wessman

Erkki Olavi Wessman was a writer and editor of Hymy magazine and a reporter for the crime magazine Alibi .

Wessman was born on June 27, 1931 in Ulvila. He first worked as a book clerk and then as an editorial secretary and writing editor in Satakunta Työ magazine in Pori . He was a founding member of Manuscript 63, a writer's association. After marrying actress Tuija Vuolte , he moved to Tampere in the mid-1960s and joined Hymy magazine. Wessman continued to create society as a versatile writer, and was known as a credit editor for Irwin Goodman, among others.

Wessman wrote several non-fiction books and novels, as well as plays for television and theater. 

Wessman died on August 5, 2011 in Tampere.
